4th of July Pre-Party

Every year, there's a huge block party on Bellmont Shore in Long Beach. The LBPD blocks off the street and everyone comes out to play. My friend Chris's band Pace Car (the cover-band version of Peace Corp.) sets up in his friend Dave Del Rio's front yard and play a couple of hours. Everyone runs or bikes or just hangs out drinking out in the open. This of course was a perfect opportunity for a posse outing. Dave had a pre-party on July 3rd, and Fro Boy, who lives on the other side of the street, invited us all to come by and spend the night.

A sleepless night: let he who passes out first beware! There was much defacing happening at Fro Boy's house. Here's Doug and Fro in the act...
And the results of their folly. Needless to say, the rest of us didn't sleep to soundly that night after that. We all clung to our sleeping bags in paranoia of being the next victim of this kind of friend abuse. So, needless to say, by the time the sun came up, we were all tired and hung over, and ready for the 4th of July party!
